Gratitude and best wishes on a new path!
Dear Jacinta,
what could we do to grasp some of the connections, your qualities and skills, the mountains of thankfulness and all the rest that put your stamp and signature on the work of the Youth Section over the past three years?
Here's a little parting gift from your Youth Section co-workers and friends, from near and afar.
Four questions were shared as inspiration:
Can you share a moment when a particular ability or competency from Jacinta was highlighted?
What is a memory you experienced with Jacinta that you remember fondly?
Jacinta in one word.
Anything else you want to share with her as she embarks on this new journey?
Boil some water, put it in your beautiful thermos, take a mate and bombilla, some of that Demeter yerba, and read through!

The moment I often think back to was during one of the first preparatory meetings for the Youth Section in Germany. We worked intensively on understanding what the Youth Section means to us. In Jacinta’s contribution, she said: “What we are doing here is the Youth Section.”. This sentence still helps me today. Often, the ideal of the Youth Section feels so far away, yet sometimes so close. Jacinta is just like that—thoughtful, attentive, and present at the right moment.

It was a pleasure to organise the ISC24 together with Jacinta. During long meetings, Jacinta remained our haven of peace, while she was always up for a joke. She was always there for everybody (like her Mate Tea was there for her). All the best for you in your new position, Jacinta!

When the rest of the Youth Section team was all immersed in preparations for the ISC, Jacinta managed to organise the approaching February Days 2024, plus her commitments to the ISC, especially the Fellow Travelers, which became her personal signature at the ISC! So kind of "multitasking", and she was doing that so artistically!
A memory I keep at heart: Walking up to Haus Schuurman with her, engrossed in conversation, during "Question! Encounter! Play!".
Jacinta in one word: Extremely responsible and equally humble. Both!
A last note: Lots of energy and fun for playing the guitar and singing. Jacinta belongs in a band, also in the future, that's for sure.

Jacinta in one word: grounded.
I have always admired her grace and quiet strength -approaching every task with love, fostering teamwork, and leading firmly yet compassionately when needed. Her unwavering commitment and profound humility are why I admire her deeply.
For this new challenge, I wish her to always stay true to herself, to keep inspiring us with her smile, her creative ideas, her hands ready to help, her contagious laughter, and her gaze that reflects an honest heart eager to give the best to the world.

When you did the Spanish translation on stage during the International Students’ Conference, it was precise, short and clear. There, but also in many other moments, I felt like you are so close to the core of things, sensible and clear for what is the essence! Like a little secret, you carry inside :)

- A testament to depth -
Seemingly quiet, she has a powerful presence that creates ripples as she moves through a space. I first met Jacinta at a conference in the Republic of Georgia. What struck me was a sense of thoughtfulness, a pensive being, there was a mystery she carried. As I’ve gotten to know her just a bit over the past year, the wisdom that she carries and her throaty, hoarse laugh bring me joy to remember, from across the ocean. Jacinta’s gentle no-nonsense attitude, distinct interest in conversation that had depth, and her dedication to education have given me a sense of kinship and solidarity. I wish you well Jacinta, and I trust we will encounter each other again <3

What I have always admired so much about Jacinta is her openness: towards new people or new ideas or suggestions, whatever, she always listens, tries to understand, always open for the new and the different, always welcoming with freshness and enthusiasm! And delicate in her very own way. She is green spring in the gesture, movement and spirit! Jacinta in one word is sprout: green, fresh, willing, becoming, open to the warm sun and the blue sky and rooting on the ground. So I wish her to keep growing wonderfully under the sky of the world and into the depths of the earth, and I wish for her to keep her beautiful green so fresh and open and alive forevermore! To work with her was as wonderful and easy as a day of spring ☀️🌱💦🌻

Thank you, Jacinta for being such a competent, professional, and also fun and joyful presence of the youth section. It has been such a pleasure to work with you and learn from your calm, cool, determination and your astute and careful listening to others. I feel so grateful that you were on the Goetheanum co-working team for the time that I was getting to know the global section and spending time in Dornach. I think the way that you care for people and for the Youth Section will echo through the people you’ve encountered, in their interactions with others around the world, for years to come.

Jacinta has a very genuine warmth, she manages to see things like an eagle and delicately untangle the knots that are tied in human encounters.
Days after arriving I needed some advice, she told me about an experience of hers when arriving in Switzerland and it was exactly what I needed to hear.
⁃ Jacinta in one word: elegant freshness (that’s two...)
Thank you for everything shared, I admire your resilience and your support of the truth. I hope to meet again together in some project. I love you very much and how lucky are all those with whom you share your days❤️

Working with Jacinta has been a pleasure!
So well organised and sharp. She has the ability to create order and see direction, even in the most chaotic situations.
And when we get stuck on a topic, she always comes up with some creative twist that gets us moving again. In one word: dedicated!

I met Jacinta in the Coworker’s Gathering in the Netherlands. Within my first days of meeting her, she already struck me as someone quite perceptive, understanding and empathetic. I had no plans to go to Dornach, but out of curiosity had some questions and concerns about the community here, and I remember surprisingly vividly how sincerely she understood my concerns, with very honest and attentive eyes. Later on, during my time with the Youth Section, I was quite excited to get to know her better; and I am happy to say that though we don’t see each other as often anymore, she has become someone very dear to me. There are many wonderful things I could say about Jacinta, but I’ll focus on something that seems to be an extension of the attentiveness I mentioned: her wit! She’d often mostly listen to people talking during meetings, discussions, or studies, and then gently present the most colorful idea, plan, or solution yet. Every time I’d wonder how quickly and creatively her thought-processing facilities work. I’m happy to see her move on to exciting projects in the Pedagogical Section, and I will be sure to keep hiding unwanted Swiss chocolate kisses throughout her path.

In the couple of years I had the chance to be around and collaborate with Jacinta, she was consistently warm hearted, reliable, honest, forgiving, helpful, selflessly oriented, and seeking to make things work out well on behalf of the Youth Section even when others were creating obstacles along the way. In one word, Jacinta is an ember. She is a service-oriented leader and I'm so glad she's taking a further step into the Pedagogical Section!

Jacinta has a wonderful way of making people feel included and valued. She creates space for others to contribute, which makes a real difference in a team.
I remember when Jacinta asked Ani and me to help place flyers on every chair in the Great Hall during the World Teachers Conference. It was a small task, but it made me feel like I was truly part of the Youth Section.
Jacinta in one word: Supportive.
Wishing you all the best in this new chapter, Jacinta! Your warmth, inclusivity, and dedication will surely make a difference.
