Eurythmy Summer Courses in the UK
Today, in 2025, we seem to stand more than ever at a decisive moment in all walks of life.
Here at Eurythmy UK we are offering a range of courses for young people designed to help build a strong foundation, both personally and professionally, connecting us intimately to our sense of being alive, being conscious and ensouled - encompassing the entirety of what it means to be human and giving us the tools to lift our basic existence into art: movement by single movement, step by small step gesture by simple gesture.
When observing small children - how they speak, how they sing and dance their world into being - we can come to understand that eurythmy employs these same forces and connects to the same impulses living unconsciously within us but elevates them and shapes them through chosen intention.
Because of Rudolf Steiner’s ability to perceive our cosmic origins and the formative forces that sustain us, he could find and shape for us the movements and principles that make visible in temporal space what is otherwise only audible in speech and music. As he so often pointed out: all eurythmy movements are derived directly from the human organism.
Thus, doing Eurythmy confirms, rejuvenates and elevates us in our most essential being. It resonates with a need to express with immediacy, what lives and echoes in our soul and aligns us to our inner nature.
We have two campuses: West Midlands Eurythmy in the centre of England and Peredur Eurythmy in the south. To start with you are warmly invited to join us!

Summer Eurythmy workshops
Summer Course
For beginner's: 7th–11th July 2025
Our experienced tutors will guide you to explore sources of creativity, using exercises and examples of poetry and music to move in eurythmy. Basic principles of eurythmy will be introduced and practiced. Music and art classes complement and support the movement sessions, and you will leave the course with tools for further practice and development.
Camping is possible in our beautiful grounds.

1 Exploring the Foundations
For beginner's: 4th–9th August 2025
This week is for everyone interested in deepening and expanding their experience in the performing arts and getting to know those they have not met before. Participants will have the opportunity to get to know speech eurythmy, tone eurythmy, speech and acting.

2 Creating performance/Creating character
For professional eurythmists & actors: 21st July–1st August 2025
During the two weeks we will be working with professional actors/speakers & eurythmists in two groups, offering further training in both arts. The focus for actors will be on creating character. For eurythmists on creating performance of both individual and group pieces of music and speech. Both courses in Stourbridge include eurythmy and acting/speech. Being close to Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon we will have the opportunity to see one of his plays with the Royal Shakespeare Company first hand.
