Eurythmy Opportunities in the UK

Today, in 2025, we seem to stand more than ever at a decisive moment in all walks of life.

Here at Eurythmy UK we are offering a range of courses for young people designed to help build a strong foundation, both personally and professionally, connecting us intimately to our sense of being alive, being conscious and ensouled - encompassing the entirety of what it means to be human and giving us the tools to lift our basic existence into art: movement by single movement, step by small step gesture by simple gesture.

When observing small children - how they speak, how they sing and dance their world into being - we can come to understand that eurythmy employs these same forces and connects to the same impulses living unconsciously within us but elevates them and shapes them through chosen intention.

Because of Rudolf Steiner’s ability to perceive our cosmic origins and the formative forces that sustain us, he could find and shape for us the movements and principles that make visible in temporal space what is otherwise only audible in speech and music. As he so often pointed out: all eurythmy movements are derived directly from the human organism.

Thus, doing Eurythmy confirms, rejuvenates and elevates us in our most essential being. It resonates with a need to express with immediacy, what lives and echoes in our soul and aligns us to our inner nature.

We have two campuses: West Midlands Eurythmy in the centre of England and Peredur Eurythmy in the south. To start with you are warmly invited to join us!

Take a look at what we are offering. See if it speaks to you. You are most welcome.

GAP YEAR COURSE

For those looking for a longer option we offer Born To Move - A deep dive into our inner landscape, finding the tools to express ourselves from our core – through gesture and movement.

6 months: September 2025 - March 2026
9 months: September 2025 - June 2026

A 6-9 month short course for young people. The gap year format of this course includes outings to special places of cultural and artistic interest and preparing for performances

An ‘English as a Foreign Language’ option for those wishing to improve their skills will be provided with a view to taking the B1 English language exam.

This course offers participants the chance to explore how human expression – the basis and essence of all art – informs and shapes our practice – taking inspiration from elements of language and music.  The course provides an immersive introduction to the art of eurythmy as a stand-alone experience – consolidating our feeling of self and supporting us in our individual aims. The course also serves as a solid foundation for further studies in the art of eurythmy. The timetable will also include explorations into speech & drama, music, painting, clay-work and form drawing. These arts will support our work in eurythmy.

Location: Peredur Centre, W Sussex
Course costs: 6 months £3000 / 9 months £4,500

Basic elements of eurythmy are approached anew in solo and group work, whilst artistic creativity is fostered.

This course will be tailored to the needs of the individual.

A performing tour is envisaged in UK and abroad during May and June 2026.

For the Adventurous!

Have you considered a full time eurythmy vocational training?
The 4-year full-time training from September 2025 will take place at Peredur Eurythmy.

Students will receive a thorough training in the beautiful Sussex countryside within the reach of many other inspiring artistic and Anthroposophical activities including regular performances of the newly established stage group on site.

The four-year Vocational Training in Eurythmy lays the foundations for a career in Eurythmy. It runs from Monday to Friday during term time.

Eurythmy is taught as a performing art. The core timetable consists of group lessons in ‘Speech Eurythmy’ and ‘Music Eurythmy’ taught by our experienced tutors.

We currently are also able to offer a short intensive course for people with previous eurythmy experience to deepen their skills and knowledge in eurythmy. Classes are from Monday to Friday in speech and tone eurythmy.

Course dates: 2nd June – 11th July 2025
Location: Peredur Centre, W Sussex

Course costs: The tuition fee for the four-year Vocational Training in Eurythmy is currently £4500 per academic year. The academic year is divided in three terms, which means that each term costs £1500.
