Youth Section Network
Over twenty groups, spread across six continents, work at local and global levels to foster the spiritual striving of youth, offering spaces where young people from every background can meet, work together, and learn from one another.
What is the Global Network?
The Youth Section is made up of more than twenty groups spread around the world. Each one takes on the shape of the place it grows in: the group in North America has spent recent years on artisan and artistic projects; Youth Initiative Africa is building community banking and social welfare work in Tanzania; Youth Society Parzival in Georgia is building up a village, garden and youth programme from the ground; the Jugendsektion in Germany meets regularly for book and anthroposophical study. No two groups look alike, and that diversity is exactly what makes the work strong. What holds them together isn't a shared programme, but a shared question: what does it mean to be young, and searching, today.
Local and country-based groups stay globally connected through seasonal calls, yearly gatherings, and larger conferences, continuing to orient around that shared striving. Every year, active individuals from the groups around the world come together to share insights and inspiration with one another, working at both local and global levels to keep that search alive, and to offer spaces where young people can meet, work, and learn from each other.

What connects us
Being part of the network isn't about following a set of rules, but the affiliated groups do hold a few things in common:
- Regular, ongoing work with 14–28 year olds drawing on inspiration from anthroposophy.
- Regular contact with the network, through communications and the team at the Goetheanum.
- An annual contribution of any size to the Round Table Youth Fund (formerly Youth Section Global Access Fund), a non-national, youth-led fund that helps carry the Youth Section's work everywhere it happens.
The Worldwide Youth Section also collaborates with youth organisations from around the world, to foster young people's initiatives beyond its own network.
Coming Together
The Youth Section's aim has always been to let the network move as a set of single organisms that interrelate and act with the whole. Each one free to take its own local initiative as a starting point, and from there, to connect outward: to the global network, to Anthroposophy, and to whatever collaboration grows out of that.
Since 2015, coworkers from every group in the network have gathered for a Youth Section Coworkers' Gathering, hosted in turn by different countries. In January 2026, thirty coworkers from eighteen youth groups met in Dornach to strengthen the bonds and decide, together, what the network's shared work should carry next: art, intercultural exchange, study, and the reassessment of the working groups that keep the network's global tasks moving.
Initiatives
Round Table Youth Fund
The Round Table Youth Fund was created to support young people developing initiatives inspired by anthroposophy. The Fund fosters collaboration, shared learning, and long-term relationships between projects, contributors, and the wider community. Funding becomes part of an ongoing process rather than a one-time transaction.
Global Network Call
To strengthen our worldwide collectivity, we gather four times a year for quarterly meetings with Youth Section Coworker's around the world. Our next call will take place in mid September.

Coworker's Gathering
Every year, coworkers from Youth Section groups around the world come together. Some just starting out, others who've been at this for years. It's a chance to step back from the day-to-day of running a group and actually be with the people doing the same work elsewhere: to support each other, share what's working and align with our deeper intentions. Everyone leaves having strengthened the connections that make it possible to work as one network across so many places.
