Resources for Teenagers

It is possible to contact the Youth Section about working together on an event at your school. We an help you connect with youth groups in your area, or colleagues of the Section, or arrange for a special visit from afar.

Possible Activities

Every situation is different, and we prepare activities based on where we are, but here there is an overview of some possible activities and/or topics that we focus on.

• A presentation of the work of the Youth Section, groups and events around the world.
• A visit to explore launching local or regional student conferences or student associations.
• Host for sharing circles that explore ideals for the future of technology; a regenerative economy; politics or peace.
• Hosting an event of teachers, youth workers and parents toward a deeper understanding of youth pedagogy and youth wisdom.
• A unique group art project or a collaborative service-learning project.
• Something that is developed collaboratively.

The International Students’ Conference is a space where young people aged 16 to 20 from around the world come together to share ideas, experiences, and perspectives.
Every two years, participants explore a central theme that guides the days together, opening up new ways of seeing, thinking, and understanding the world.

The Connect Conference was created to empower young people to explore their potential to drive positive change. It provides a space for cultural exchange, meaningful discussions, and collaborative action. The transition from high school to adulthood is a time of discovery and growth. Connect Conference supports young people during this journey, offering tools and inspiration to shape their roles in society and address global challenges.

The Bundesschüler*innentagung was created to give Waldorf students across Germany a space to think critically and grow together. Held twice a year by WaldorfSV, the national student council of the Bund der Freien Waldorfschulen, it gathers engaged students around a broad philosophical theme for several days of exchange and reflection. Beyond the discussions themselves, the conference offers a chance to build community across schools, question ideas together, and return home with new perspectives to bring into their own school life.

Student conferences make up a special area of activity in the Section. From large international events to regional student gatherings, they take place around the world. Some examples include the ISC events at the Goetheanum, the WSV events in Germany and the Connect conference in Belgium.
