In our effort to strengthen our worldwide awareness, we have begun a new rhythm of quarterly meetings with Youth Section co-workers around the world. The new carrying team, comprised of Ani in Georgia, Clara in Brazil, Iona in the USA, and Katrina in Switzerland, organized their first call on May 10. We were joined by over 40 people from six continents!

At the end of March, we launched our crowdfunding campaign for the Global Access and Project Fund through this newsletter. Our goal is to raise CHF 30.000 not only to support travel to our Co-workers’ Gathering in January 2026, but also to support youth initiatives with small grants. The funds will be distributed through a shared gifting process that will take place during the the upcoming Gathering. 
We are grateful for all youth groups and individuals that have contributed towards the fund. We have raised over CHF 6500 in the past two months. We encourage you to pledge to the Global Access and Project Fund as well!

Save the date: International Students' Conference 2026

The conference is a wonderful space where ideas and experiences from young people aged 16 to 19 from all over the world can come together, enriching those who participate with multiple perspectives and ways of seeing life.

As usual, this conference has a central theme that brings us together and serves as a guiding thread throughout the days: connect.

How do we connect with diversity? How do we connect through technology? How do we connect with nature? How do we connect deeply with one another? What does it mean to be an individual, and how can I connect with others from my freedom as an individual?

We are starting a bi-annual Youth Section magazine! This will be like this e-newsletter but in a longer form and more aesthetically- and content-oriented. We hope to feature art and writing from friends around the world. Let us know if you have anything to share!

I would love to tell you about a youth conference that took place in Northern Ireland over Easter with the wonderful title ‘The Light in the Depths’.
It was about the ancient Hibernian mysteries of the North and the wisdom they can still give us for modern mysteries and how anthroposophy can be a portal, a door and a cultural impulse that can carry us for the next 100 years.

On April 17th, we welcomed over 100 guests to Ytterjärna for the opening of the Sowing Seeds of Connection Initiative Forum 2025. Among them were YIP alumni, friends and family of current Yippies, and members of the local community. Their arrival marked the culmination of months of dreaming and planning, and weeks of dedicated preparation.

Im Herbst 2024 schrieben wir von der Stiftung Rosenkreuz eine Nachricht an die Jugendsektion am Goetheanum. In unserer Gruppe hatten wir uns vorgängig mit dem Thema „Lebensmut“ auseinandergesetzt.

Wir fanden, dass sich viele junge Menschen zwischen einer Angst vor dem Tod und Ängsten vor dem vielfältigen, sich stets wandelnden und unkontrollierbaren Leben bewegen. Also Lebensangst haben.

An important event this year in our Section is playing itself out on the team at the Goetheanum, where transitions are unfolding. We always have young people moving through who are guests, learning about the work of the section and helping for shorter and longer periods of time. A couple recent examples include Tamara Mbuguni from Tanzania and Simon Dijkstra from the Netherlands. Then there are young people who come for longer stints to help with essential tasks and larger projects. Over the last year, Keivan Azimi and Katrina Hoven have joined for such longer stints, while Gabriele Nys is turning toward a new chapter in her life and will be leaving the Goetheanum in July. 

We are the Parzival Youth Society, a group of young educators, artists, and changemakers based in Georgia. Since 2020, we've been on a mission to respond to social and educational challenges made painfully clear by the pandemic. Our dream? To build spaces where children and youth can thrive through creativity, connection, and care.

Join us for the 2025 International Youth Conference at Loch Arthur Camphill Community in South West Scotland. This Summer, from 27. - 30. June, we will be gathering to share and explore under the theme of "The Fabric of Community - Weaving a Life of Many Colours."

The intention is to bring together young(ish) people from around the world who have a connection to, or an interest in, Camphill. We are aiming to inspire each other, share what makes life meaningful for us, forge new connections, and to deepen old ones.

In the first week of July, the team of the Youth Section at the Goetheanum invites young people from all over the world to come join them for a week of hands-on work, cultural exchange, singing together, shared meals, creative sessions, open spaces, nature hikes and more. 

We can host up to 15 people. So register now!

Here at Eurythmy UK we are offering a range of courses for young people designed to help build a strong foundation, both personally and professionally, connecting us intimately to our sense of being alive, being conscious and ensouled - encompassing the entirety of what it means to be human and giving us the tools to lift our basic existence into art: movement by single movement, step by small step gesture by simple gesture.

A Global Youth Invitation for rethinking education and freedom, together. From the Youth Section at the Goetheanum and around the world, this initiative invites young people everywhere, to join a shared journey of questioning, creating, and reimagining the structures that shape our learning and becoming.

Das Mysteriendrama offenbart die gesamte Anthroposophie auf eigenständige Art. Durch tägliche gemeinsame Eurythmie, Sprachgestaltung und Studium sowie Proben und am Ende Aufführungen lassen wir diese reichen Welten unter uns aufleben.

The 2025 summer conference will take place at Hawthorne Valley Farm in Upstate New York. We hope to bring together over one hundred young people to this beautiful biodynamic farm and Waldorf school! This will be an opportunity for youth, ages 16 to 35, to encounter the questions and challenges of our time and engage in conversation, work, and art to meet their lives actively. We are extremely excited to welcome Orland Bishop, a deeply influential and inspiring teacher, leader and healer, to be the keynote speaker.

We are organising the Matica Youth Camp from 10.08.- 16.08. 2025 on the Matica farm, Vršac, Serbia. On the one hand, this marks the start of a five-year training programme in anthroposophic medicine according to the current guidelines, and on the other hand, young people can also get to know other anthroposophic fields of practice such as agriculture, education, and social initiative. This program should give and help young people to get information toward possible professional orientation in their lives.

We, the Youth Initiative Africa, are a group of African youth between the ages of 16-35 interested in Anthroposophy. Our group was officially established in July of 2023 after two members attended the Youth Section Co-workers' Gathering in Dornach. Currently, we have members from Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Angola, and South Africa. With great joy, we'd like to invite everyone to our upcoming youth conference and safari!

Join a global network of young people committed to co creating a more caring and connected world.

YIP offers an educational space where up to 40 participants from around the world learn, create and organize alongside experts, facilitators and innovators. Through our curriculum, we strive to cultivate a space where young people can explore their authentic self and purpose, expand their understanding of the world and develop their fullest potential within it. In YIP18 (2025-26), the program will include an outpost period in Navdanya Biodiversity Farm in northern India. While the first and last three months will take place in Sweden, the middle part of the program, including the internships, will be in India. 

Throughout the 5 Weekends of Anthroposophy online course, students will participate in in-depth discussion groups led by the Goetheanum faculty, engage in art and eurythmy exercises, and have access to video lectures.

Das künstlerisch - anthroposophische Grundstudienjahr richtet sich an junge Menschen zwischen 20 und 30 Jahren. Die aktive künstlerisch-gedankliche Beschäftigung mit den Grundimpulsen der Anthroposophie und die Begegnung mit anderen jungen Menschen ermöglicht ein Aufwachen für die eigenen Lebensimpulse und Berufsziele. Zugleich bietet das Jahr den Freiraum, eigene Projektideen prototypartig zu realisieren.

Anthroposophy for young adults. It arises from previous smaller attempts developed over the course of the last seven years as An­throposophical art and study gatherings for young people in search of a gen­uinely human way of knowing. Along with Daniel Hafner, various teachers have been helping. A schooling in projective morphology and Rudolf Steiner’s thinking will accompany ex­periences of color genesis, the origins of rocks, the growth of plants, the evolution of the kingdoms of nature in relation to man, the threefold human organism, the evolution of culture, the Anthroposophical impulse in the various arts, and social threefolding.

The program is offered in German with the possibility for translation.

Die AkBB (Akademie für Bewegung und Bildung) ist eine praxisorientierte Ausbildung zum Sport- und Klassenlehrer/in an Waldorf und Rudolf Steiner Schule. Die Studierende sind von Anfang an im Unterricht an der Schule mit dabei und werden in den 2 Jahren an der AkBB zunehmend eingebunden. Im dritten Jahr machen sie an der Freien Hochschule Stuttgart ihr Bachelor Abschluss. Die pädagogische Grundlagen werden erarbeitet und können direkt in der Praxis angewendet und überprüft werden. Eine breite Basis in allen sportlichen Bereichen und Klassenlehrerthemen wird gelegt und mit Fachleuten vertieft. Ein wesentlicher Teil der Ausbildung ist es, die Studierenden in ihrer Persönlichkeit zu stärken, so dass sie sicher im Beruf stehen können und auch den Anforderungen der heutigen Zeit sowie den Bedürfnissen der Kinder gewachsen sind.

The Youth House, located in Chestnut Ridge, NY, is a new initiative of the Threefold Foundation aimed at renewing the legacy of Anthroposophy by creating a meaningful, practical paradigm for the future. The Youth House hosts three key initiatives: a Residency Program, the Threefold Community Course, and ongoing activities for young adults.

Starting in Autumn 2025, the Youth House will offer a full-time, year-round residency program for five young adults (ages 18-35).

Das Kunststudienjahr richtet sich an Menschen, die ihr Interesse für die Kunst erwecken, intensivieren und vertiefen wollen. In drei Trimestern, die auch einzeln besucht werden können, werden die Künste Architektur, Bildhauerei und Malerei auf der Grundlage der Anthroposophie und des Goetheanismus praktisch erkundet und durch anthroposophisches Grundlagenstudium vertieft.

The Anthroposophy Studies on Campus is for anyone looking for an understanding of Rudolf Steiner's work and how anthroposophy relates to different fields. The program features lessons focused on the study of Rudolf Steiner's books, thematic weekly seminars, artistic courses, and nature observation classes.

Eine neue Berufsausbildung für Theater und Sprachgestaltung. Unterrichtssprache ist Deutsch und Französisch. Es müssen nicht beide Sprachen gesprochen werden, aber man sollte neugierig sein auf die jeweils andere.
